Andrea Mastroni - Un Frate
After winning Giuseppe Di Stefano award in 2007 he made his debut as Sparafucile in Rigoletto in Trapani. He then attended Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro under the guidance of Alberto Zedda and he became a success thought his intrepretation in Il viaggio a Reims (Barone di Trombonock). Particularly gifted artist with a rich voice his repertoire spans from Mozart to Rossini, from Verdi to Puccini, with a particularly interest in great baroque and chamber music composers (especiallly Schubert's lieder). Very young he has been already guest in prestigious theatres as: Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro Dante Alighieri in Ravenna, Sferisterio Opera Festival ,Opéra de Toulon; he regularly collaborates with artists such as Riccardo Muti and Ottavio Dantone.
He recently sang as Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Colline in La Bohème in Novara and Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Opéra in Toulon.
His future plans include: Rigoletto at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and then on tour in Japan and La Fanciulla del West at the Opéra National de Paris.
